War Horse (2011)

Set during World War I, War Horse is a film by renowned director Steven Spielberg. Interestingly, it is depicted from children’s novel written by Michael Morpurgo which was published in 1982 in the United Kingdom.
This is a story about a young man name Albert meeting a horse named Joey who was bought by his father in an auction. Albert then trains the horse into plowing their field instead of another animal. The two then became inseparable however Joey was sold to the British cavalry when the harvests failed in the farm. Fast forward, Albert became a private and joined the war but he was blinded by a gas temporarily. The two met again and although Albert was temporarily blinded, he still recognizes Joey the horse. Just when things are settle for the two, the horse is again set to be auctioned again.
The movie stars various actors and actresses like Jeremy Irvine playing the role of Albert Narracott, Peter Mullan as the alcoholic father portraying the role of Ted Narracott, Emily Watson playing Albert’s mother, Davids Thewlis as Lyons and many more.
The movie interests the media because it is directed by Steven Spielberg and he is quite known for his level of secrecy and the security when he’s filming a movie. In fact, when taping War Horse, he is particular about not telling the media about their locations. While filming, the movie was code named Dartmoor and he shot the scenes at north Hampshire. There were 130 extras and shooting the film took 64 days.
